The Yohannes Center was founded by Saba and Areaya Yohannes — Rockville parents of four who believe families in our community deserve a therapy center built with the same care they'd want for their own children.
A former Network Engineer who served as Assistant Director of a statewide treatment organization's Information Technology department, supporting the daily function of an operating treatment facility across more than sixteen locations. Saba is also the founder of bySabian, a styling practice serving well-known musicians, artists, political figures, and executives. At the center, she leads design, technology, and the family experience — the softness you feel in every room is hers.
Founder and CEO of a Rockville-based national commercial construction and facility management firm serving commercial and federal clients for nearly a decade — the team behind the center's renovation. Areaya leads operations, facilities, and the business of the center, so our clinicians can lead the care.
We live in Rockville, and our four children have grown up here. This center is our family's investment in the development of the children of our own community — not just a business venture, but a step toward enhancing the future of the children we love and live beside every day.
Most ABA in our area happens in office suites or living rooms. We believe a child's surroundings shape how they feel, and how they feel shapes how they learn. So we started with the building: warm materials, natural light, quiet rooms, space for parents — a place that feels less like a clinic and more like a welcome.
Our clinical program is led by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who is an owner of the center. Clinician leadership isn't a slogan here; it's the structure of the company.
Rockville is the first Yohannes Center. Our vision is to bring new centers to more communities in the years ahead — built the same way, with the same care.
Nearly 9,000 square feet across three floors in the heart of downtown Rockville, purpose-renovated for center-based ABA — therapy rooms, a sensory room, gross motor space, a group classroom, a life-skills teaching kitchen, and dedicated parent spaces.
